Wellington Cafe wants Coca-Cola to help them rebrand

  • 25/10/2017

The owners of Innocent Foods in central Wellington have asked Coca-Cola to help them rebrand after they were forced to change the name of their café.

Coca-Cola owns the trademark for the word "innocent" due to a range of drinks it sells in the UK called Innocent and has given Innocent Foods until November 16 to change thier name.

Café owners Egemen Yeter and Claire Rientjes are faced with rebranding only four months after opening, which is estimated to cost them $7000.

They want help from Coca-Cola to rebrand, although Mr Yeter did not clarify what he would like from the drinks giant.

"They need to cooperate with us so we can change our website name and have an online presence as well," he said.
