An Auckland bar and restaurant had an unexpected drive-through customer on Saturday afternoon.
The driver of red Holden Commodore lost control near a busy Dominion Rd intersection and swerved across the road.
It crashed into the outdoor dining section of The Dominion, a popular pub in the area.
The incident took place on a busy stretch of Valley Rd, directly across the road from the local supermarket.
The car came within meters of a family who were having a meal at the time of the crash, but were uninjured.
Fire, police and St John were quick to respond to the incident.
The driver suffered minor injuries. Police say they are talking to him about the incident.
