Pedestrians injured after car 'spins out of control' in west Auckland crash

At least three people are injured after a car reportedly spun out of control in an accident near a west Auckland school at approximately 3:15pm.

Police, fire services and ambulance are attending the scene near Western Heights Primary School.

A worker from nearby Sturges Rd Kindergarten told Newshub she didn't see the incident, but heard that one car had hit another car, lost control and hit pedestrians on the footpath.

A police spokesperson confirmed that a vehicle struck three pedestrians - a mother and her two children. The children are aged six and four, according to Stuff, and received minor and moderate injuries.

Both have been taken to Starship Hospital. The woman received moderate injuries and has also been taken to hospital.

Sturges Road remains blocked, while emergency services attend the scene.
