Firefighters have contained a blaze at a wooden pallet factory in south Auckland and another at a home in the Waikato overnight.
Five crews were called to the Big Tuff Pallets factory in Wiri about 1am on Thursday and found the building well ablaze, a Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said.
No staff were at the site at the time, she said.
One fire unit remained at the scene about 7am to make sure the blaze didn't flare up again.
Meanwhile, three crews attended a house fire in Tokoroa about 4am.
Investigators were expected at the scene later in the morning, the spokeswoman said.
All occupants of the home had been accounted for and a dog reported missing at the scene had since been found.
