A Hawke's Bay man has died two weeks after being admitted to hospital with critical injuries after an altercation in Pourere.

The 47-year-old died in Hawke's Bay Hospital on Friday afternoon, police say.

On Wednesday a 46-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery in relation to the incident at a property in Long Range Road on November 17.

Police are still hunting for some of those involved.

He will appear in the Waipukurau District Court on December 8.

"We do not believe there is an ongoing risk to the public but we are seeking a number of people in relation to the incident," says Inspector Dave Greig.

He says those being sought are actively avoiding police.
