A batch of Pak'nSave brand NZ beef mince is being recalled by Foodstuffs New Zealand as the product may contain soft plastic.

The product recall applies solely to Pak'nSave Papakura where the mince is distributed, and does not affect any other Pak'nSave brand products.

The Ministry for Primary Industries has advised consumers to double check the date marks on product labels - specifically for that which was packed on December 14 and has a best before date of December 17.

While there have been no injuries, the ministry has advised anyone who may have purchased or consumed the product to seek medical advice.
