Rene Naufahu remains in limbo

Former Shortland Street star Rene Naufahu will have to wait until January for the details of his sentence.

The 47-year-old pleaded guilty in September, to six counts of indecently assaulting women in his acting classes.

He was due to be sentenced today, but it has been adjourned.

Naufahu rose to fame starring as ambulance officer Sam in the original cast of Shortland Street, before moving on to act in the Power Rangers television series.

The offending took place between 2010 and 2013, against adult female acting students he was teaching in one-on-one classes.

A video later emerged in which he criticised his "haters" and "hoes".
