The search for missing Rangiora 20-year-old Emma Beattie is entering its third day.
Eight teams, including LandSAR volunteers and police offices are currently searching the Ashley River area, with a special focus on Hillcrest Road.
Forty-five people are involved in the search - 32 are in the field. A search-and-rescue dog team is also involved.
The teams will be stationed around buildings, properties and hedgerows in the area.
Ms Beattie was last seen at her Fernside, Waimakariri home around 11pm on Friday.
She has long blonde hair and carried a brown backpack with rope straps.
Anyone with more information is being urged to contact police immediately.
