A car crashed into the side of a house overnight, injuring a sleeping dog.
The accident happened just before midnight on Saturday, on the corner of Ruapehu St and Riwai St in Paraparaumu.
Police say the driver lost control, crashing through the side of a house and causing extensive damage. The dog was sleeping on a chair at the time.
The driver left the scene and has not been located.
