Two people have been killed in a serious crash near Matamata in the Waikato.
Emergency services were called to the scene on State Highway 27 near Springdale around 1:45pm.
A Fire and Emergency spokesman told Newshub they have three fire crews at the scene.
The road has been closed and diversions are in place at Horell Rd and the Paeroa-Tahuna roundabout.
The serious crash unit is investigating.
