Men armed with a hammer robbed a Hamilton convenience store on Saturday morning.
Three men confronted the owner of the Hillcrest Minimart on Cambridge Rd at 5am as he was opening up, police say.
One hit him with a hammer while the others stole cigarettes.
The owner was taken to hospital with head and eye injuries.
