A nine-year-old boy has been killed after a farm incident near Kaikoura on Friday evening.
Police attended the farm death on the Inland Kaikoura Rd at around 6pm on Friday night.
The boy's death has been referred to the Coroner and WorkSafe has also been advised, police say.
Police extended their sympathies to the boy's family for their loss.
