A Powerball player in Northland has ended the night $8.3 million richer.

Wednesday evening's live Lotto draw saw one lucky winner scoop $8 million with Powerball First Division, with an extra bonus of $333,333 from Lotto First Division.

The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player in Northland.

There were two other winners, who each scored a third of a million dollars with Lotto First Division. Those tickets were sold on MyLotto in Taranaki and at a Countdown in Amberley.

Strike Four has rolled over, and will be worth $600,000 on Saturday.

A Wairarapa couple who won $12.5 million with Powerball in March held onto their winning ticket for more than a week before coming forward.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores is advised by Lotto to write their name on the back of their ticket and check it immediately, either online or at any outlet.
