Several people have been injured in a serious crash in Waipapakauri.
Police are still at the scene where two cars collided on West Coast Rd, which happened just before midday on Friday.
Three people are thought to be seriously injured and three more have moderate injuries, according to police.
A rescue helicopter is also at the scene.
Part of the road is closed and diversions are in place.
