A truck and motorcycle have collided in Tauranga, leaving one person dead.
The accident happened around 9:30am between Hewletts Rd and Waimarie St.
Witnesses told local media the motorcyclist appeared to be crushed under the truck.
Diversions are in place at the intersections of Totara St and Hull Rd, and Totara St and Hewletts Rd.
Emergency services and the serious crash unit are attending.
