Napier dairy owner punched for a packet of chips

Police are hunting for five teenagers who punched a dairy owner and stole packets of chips.

The incident happened at the Westshore Corner Store on Charles St in Napier around 7:45pm on Saturday night as the owner was closing up.

He sustained minor injuries, and all the thugs got away with was packets of chips.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw it happen or has information - call Napier police on (06) 873 0500 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting file number 180519/4242.
