One person is in a critical condition after their vehicle crashed into a house in Waikato on Thursday night.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Horotiu, south of Ngaruawahia, at around 8:30pm.
No one in the house was injured, police say. There was only one person in the car.
Great South Rd, between Horotiu Rd and Anzac St East, remained closed overnight as the serious crash unit investigates. Diversions are in place and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
