A van fire is causing chaos on State Highway 1's northbound lane on the North Shore.
The fire is between Onewa Rd and the Esmonde Rd off-ramp and was first reported on fire at 5:20pm on Friday.
Lanes three and four are currently closed in both directions, however southbound traffic is flowing.
Police are advising motorists to expect significant delays and, if possible, to take an alternative route or delay travel.
