Twenty injured, two seriously, after bus rolls near Queenstown

A bus rolled near Queenstown on Tuesday afternoon, injuring 20 people and leaving two in a serious condition.

Emergency services raced to Glenorchy-Queenstown Rd, 7km southwest of the Queenstown township, after the bus rolled at about 1:45pm.

A St John spokesperson told Newshub two people had been seriously injured, one person was in a moderate condition, and 17 sustained minor injuries.

"[We] have two helicopters attending, three ambulances and a manager," the spokesperson said.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised, police said in a statement.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area.
