The body of an overdue tramper has been found in Arthur's Pass on Sunday after a search and rescue operation.
The woman was reported missing after failing to return from a hike on Saturday in the Arthur's Pass National Park.
Police say they will be making enquiries over the death on behalf of the Coroner.
They offer their sympathies to the friends and family of the deceased.
