The latest 3 News/Reid Research poll shows the Conservative Party has slumped to its lowest rating since it was founded in 2011 on just 0.7 percent - a collapse from its election night high of 4.1 percent.

This is a drop of 1.2 percent on the last poll, and a drop of 3.4 percent on its election night result of 4.1 percent.

3 News Political Editor Patrick Gower says the Conservative Party has lost support since it became embroiled in controversy.

"The Conservative Party has been wiped out. Voters have deserted it in droves since the controversy over Colin Craig and Rachel MacGregor," he says.

"Colin Craig will be wishing he was back in the sauna with David Farrier – that was his last happy political moment."

The poll comes after the controversy over Mr Craig and his former press secretary and a spat over party leadership.

Full results of the Reid Research poll will be released on 3 News tonight.
