Greenpeace protesters to be sentenced
A group of climate change advocates who scaled the walls of Parliament are about to learn their punishment.
Greenpeace activists Johno Smith, Jeff Harrison, Abi Smith and Verena Maeder face up to three months' prison when they are sentenced in Auckland District Court today after pleading guilty to trespass over the publicity stunt.
The group spent a day in June on a third-floor ledge overlooking Parliament's forecourt and hanging banners in protest of the Government's response to climate change.
They used their last appearance in court to repeat their climate change message.
