RSA members split on flag debate

A battle is brewing in the ranks of the RSA over the flag debate.

The RSA has campaigned hard to keep the current flag but some members think they've gone too far.

Devonport's RSA president, Chris Mullane, has been into battle before – he served in Vietnam.

Mr Mullane says by telling people to write "keep the current flag" on their ballot papers, the RSA is undermining democracy.

But RSA national president BJ Clark says there is no democracy to be seen here.
