World leaders have begun meeting in Antalya, Turkey for the G20 Summit, but it seems some furry friends also want in on the action.

Three cats seemingly broke through the event’s tight security and were seen running across the stage.

A first cat emerged onto the stage near the world flags, soon followed by two others. The trio pranced around, stopping to smell flowers before running off again.

Reporters took to Twitter to cover this unexpected development.

Discussions at the G20 summit are mostly focussed on the possibility that Islamic State militants have infiltrated migrants travelling to the European Union, in light of the Paris attacks at the weekend.

It will also focus on the current state of the global economy, sustainable growth, development and climate change.
