Prime Minister John Key has just returned from the Apec and East Asia summits and he'll soon be off to Malta for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Mr Key returned yesterday from 10-day trip to Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia.
Tomorrow he leaves for CHOGM in Malta, climate change talks in Paris and then a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin.
Mr Key says CHOGM determines the Commonwealth's activities and direction for the coming year, and is an opportunity to meet leaders from countries that share New Zealand's heritage.
In Paris he'll attend the UN climate change conference.
"Momentum is building ahead of Paris with more than 160 countries committing to taking action around climate change," Mr Key said.
"New Zealand will be pushing for a deal that puts the world on a pathway towards limiting global temperature rise to no more than two degrees."
When he meets Chancellor Merkel he'll be looking for opportunities to expand New Zealand's economic and scientific co-operation.
