Govt announces another school redevelopment
The Government has announced it'll spend $6 million on the redevelopment of Te Wharekura o Maniapoto – a school near Te Kuiti.
Associate Education Minister Nikki Kaye says existing buildings will be replaced with a new two-storey "fresh, bright learning environment."
Earlier this month Ms Kaye announced a $79 million redevelopment project for Western Springs College and a $4 million upgrade for the Auckland Performing Arts Centre, which is in the school's grounds.
That was followed by Education Minister Hekia Parata's announcement that $39 million would be spent rebuilding Wellington East Girls' College's 91-year-old earthquake-prone main block.
