Marama Davidson sworn in as a Green MP
The Green Party's new MP has been sworn in.
Marama Davidson took her seat today, replacing former co-leader Russel Norman who has resigned to become head of Greenpeace New Zealand.
She's been given the portfolio responsibilities of Maori development, social housing, human rights and Pacific peoples.
Co-leader Metiria Turei has taken the national intelligence and security portfolio, previously held by Dr Norman.
Trade, which was also held by Dr Norman, has been given to Kennedy Graham.
Ms Davidson will make her maiden speech tomorrow.
She's a former political commentator and human rights worker.
