The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has issued a recall for 200g packs of Beehive Shaved Champagne Ham over fears the product may contain listeria.

Stores throughout the North Island including Countdown, New World, Pak'nSave and Fresh Choice sell the affected ham.

People are encouraged to return any purchases of the product to their retailer for a full refund.

While there have not been any reports of illness, MPI urges anyone concerned about their health to seek medical advice.

No other product by Premier Beehive NZ has been recalled.
