The Government doesn't have anything to worry about over the Christmas break, according to the latest Roy Morgan poll.
It shows National steady on 49 percent support, well ahead of a potential Labour/Greens coalition with a combined 41.5 percent.
Even if NZ First, on six percent, joined a three-party opposition coalition National would still be ahead.
"If an election was held now, the poll shows National would be re-elected easily," says pollster Gary Morgan.
"National is set for a merry Christmas."
The poll puts Labour on 28.5 percent, down one point, the Greens on 13 percent, up one point, and NZ First unchanged on six percent.
There's little change in the minor parties.
