Nearly all households will be able to connect to ultra-fast broadband at no cost until December 2019.
The Government's free connection deal was due to expire in December this year but it's been pushed out for another two years.
Communications Minister Amy Adams says she wants as many homes as possible to benefit from the $1.6 billion UFB rollout, which is on budget and ahead of schedule in most areas.
"This means that almost all households who are able to connect to UFB can do so at no charge to them," Ms Adams said on Tuesday.
UFB should be within reach of 75 percent of people by 2019.
