Deputy Prime Minister Paula Bennett has taken to Facebook to say she's "excited about lies ahead" under new Prime Minister Bill English.
Newshub assumes she meant "what lies ahead".
The unfortunate omission - or Freudian slip - wasn't immediately spotted by Ms Bennett or her staff. It took half an hour for the mistake to be corrected.
"I couldn't be more proud of what we've achieved and I'm so excited about lies ahead under Bill English's leadership," Ms Bennett wrote.
It was eventually spotted by a supporter, who resisted a cheap shot - just saying: "{insert} 'what' lies ahead".
