Figures released exclusively to Newsworthy today show the Government is failing to meet its own gender equality target – a target which was lowered in 2011 to make it more attainable.
The numbers show across all state sector appointments to committees and boards, 19 out of 26 Ministers still are not appointing a minimum of 45 percent women, including the Minister for Women Louise Upston and Prime Minister John Key.
