New rules on brothel signs around Auckland
Under new council bylaws, brothels in residential Auckland will now be allowed to put up small signs advertising their services
However, no lewd images or flashing signs will be allowed.
Joining Paul Henry this morning is the chairman of the panel who approved the relaxation of the rules, Councillor George Wood.
"By October this year by law we have to have all our bylaws consolidated into one all across Auckland. In residential areas you can have a small sign that is about a third of a square metre and outside the residential areas you can have a metre-squared sign. No neon signs or lewd images on them either," says Mr Wood.
