Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott knows the kind of pressure John Key has been under - he's been facing the same calls to step up action to help ease the refugee crisis.
Abbott's now flagged what he's calling a significant boost to Australia's intake of Syrian refugees, as well as more aid and more airstrikes.
Australian correspondent Jason Morrison says an announcement is expected today about increasing the refugee quota and increasing airstrikes, and he joined Paul Henry on the show this morning to discuss the possibility.
