It has been three months since Apple Music launched. That means the free trial will have ended for many of the streaming service's 11 million users.

Many more people will have to decide soon whether they opt out or start paying each month to listen to Apple Music – but how many people will opt to subscribe?

Analysts predict that initially around 25 percent of Apple Music's users will remain subscribers. That is 2.7 million subscribers.

Spotify's Premium service has 20 million subscribers and Tidal has signed up one million people.

The most popular streaming genres are hip hop and R&B. Hip hop accounts for 27 percent of all streamed songs, compared with 17 percent of all albums sales.
