It’s Cancer Research Week and to talk to us about where we are at and where the future of cancer research is, Paul Henry was joined by Dr Ian Tannock.
Dr Tannock says the biggest advancements in recent years have been in immunotherapy drugs such as Pembrolizumab.
He says that while the biggest cancer-related issue Governments face is the affordability of cutting-edge drugs, he is confident that a price ceiling will be hit and the costs will start to come down.
