Ngaruawahia has been in the headlines for the past few days, but another small town is also keen to show what they’ve got.
Story received an email from a Murupara local saying Aucklanders should be moving there because houses are cheap.
One house is being sold for $5000 – you could call it a bargain hunter’s paradise.
Story was given a tour by Mayor of Murupara Tony Bonne who knows the town like the back-of-his-hand.
For those who love hunting and fishing, he believes Murupara is a good base and the house on the market is ready for new blood.
Story went to visit the town who don’t want people to just invest but to live there too.
