Amnesty Intl slam Govt's refugee quota increase

The Government's decision to increase our refugee quota from 750 to 1000 from 2018 has been criticised by human rights advocates and opposition parties.

Amnesty International says it doesn't go far enough and we should be doubling the quota.

The current quota of 750 has not been raised since 1987.

Immigration Minister Michael Woodhouse joined Paul Henry to explain.
