The death of another baby is being treated as suspicious.
Police are investigating the death of the three-month-old boy in Tauranga as a homicide.
The mother brought the baby to Tauranga Hospital on Tuesday night for treatment but the boy died. A forensic post mortem will take place today.
Child Youth and Family have been alerted of the incident.
