Kiwi on-board NASA's Sofia
NASA’s Sofia is the largest airborne observatory in the world.
From studying star birth and death, to the formation of new solar systems, the modified Boeing 747 is able to make discoveries that we could only dream of on the ground.
Last week Sofia was sent to Christchurch in a mission to learn more about space, and Nanotech Scientist Michelle Dickinson was on board.
Ms Dickinson joined Paul Henry this morning.
