Road safety campaigners are urging drivers to be more cautious as the number of deaths on the road this year has topped the entire road toll for 2013.
Then the toll of 253 deaths was at a 60 year low.
However, in only October, we're already at 255 road deaths; 12 more deaths than at this time last year, when 243 people died on our roads.
By the end of 2015, a total of 319 lives were lost on our roads.
AA General Manager of Motoring Affairs Mike Noon joined Paul Henry to discuss.
