John Funnell is the daredevil rescue pilot who never thought twice before going to the aid of others.

From rescuing shark attack victims to helping people escape volcanic eruptions and preventing near disaster at an All Blacks game, his 50 year career was filled with stories of shock, horror and disaster prevention.

The retired search and rescue pilot joined Paul Henry to speak about what life is like after the daredevil missions.
