US, Russia sign agreement for shared space station

The United States and Russia have signed an agreement to work together on the first lunar space station.

The two countries' space agencies, NASA and Roscomos, signed a joint statement earlier this week recognising the pair's "common vision" for more crewed missions in the Solar System.

Auckland University astrobiologist professor Kathy Campbell spoke to Duncan Garner about the project.
