Today is the last day for the nation to welcome the All Blacks home and catch a glimpse of the Web Ellis Cup in the flesh.

The team touched down in Wellington yesterday after celebrations in Auckland and Christchurch earlier this week, and their first stop in the region was the resting place of their former teammate Jerry Collins, in Porirua.

Jerome Kaino posted a picture of the visit on Instagram, which featured himself, Dan Carter, Sonny Bill Williams, Ma'a Nonu and Liam Messam kneeling by Collins' grave with the caption "Belated Happy Birthday USO! Love you uce! Always got you #JC6".

The boys attached a balloon to Collins' headstone.

Collins and his partner Alana Madill, 35, died in a car crash in southern France in June this year. He would have turned 35 on Wednesday.

Carter also posted a picture with a tribute to the former number 6.

Williams and Nonu also tweeted the occasion.
