There's an old Russian saying that whoever pays the musicians gets to decide the tune.

That's Alexander Dimitrenko's polite way of suggesting Joseph Parker got a hometown decision over Carlos Takam.

"Yeah this is my opinion, what do you think?" Dimitrenko asked.

"I thought it was tight," I said in response.

And that's about as argumentative as I was going to get with a 6 foot 7 Ukrainian with 38 professional wins under his belt.

His two losses came to fighters who went on to challenge for world titles.

Dimitrenko says those experiences gained in 15 years in the pro ranks gives him the edge as he knows how to stand back up and go again, something Parker has yet to deal with.
