Team Barrett at Hurricanes or Team Barrett at Crusaders?

The Crusaders say they have "thrown all they can" to attract rising star Jordie Barrett to their side next year.

The 19 year old is currently playing for Canterbury in the Mitre 10 Cup under coach Scott Robertson.

The pair have history through the New Zealand under 20s as well and with Robertson replacing Todd Blackadder at the helm of the Super Rugby team next year, he is keen to secure Barrett.

But Barrett, who can play in the midfield as well as fullback, is undecided on his super rugby future.

Will he stay in Christchurch alongside brother Scott, or will he move to Wellington and link up with his more famous brother Beauden at the Hurricanes?

The Barrett clan hail from Taranaki - which may or may be a factor.  It's closer to Wellington of course, though part of the Chiefs franchise.

There is no deadline on where to from here.

He bares a remarkable similiarity to Beauden despite being slightly though taller, and jokes he is much slower.

Rugby insiders have long talked up Jordie Barrett as a rare talent and with Beauden's sudden rise this year, there is a lot of interest in where he will end up.
