Springboks coach Allister Coetzee is a disappointed man following his side's record 57-15 defeat to the All Blacks in Duran on Sunday morning (NZT).

"We are all disappointed. It's painful. It's not easy," said Coetzee.

The All Blacks outscored the Springboks nine tries to zero, with five of them coming in the final 20 minutes.

"Off and on the field they are just in a better class, world class," said Coetzee

"We definitely are hurting and almost to the extent that we feel very embarrassed about the last 20 minutes,"

"After the World Cup, [the All Blacks] come out the next year with a stronger team and a better prepared team while we just have to start from scratch with rebuilding. Systems are important."

The Springboks have only scored one try in two matches against the All Blacks in 2016, and have failed to score a try since swapping Elton Jantjies with sharp shooter Morne Steyn.

"Sometimes effort could be your best, but it's not good enough. I don't think the way we prepared, planned and started this match was to end it like this tonight," said Coetzee.

"There are lots of reasons, but the players and coaching team will have to have a hard look at ourselves. It's only us who can turn it around,"

"We will take and learn from this championship and focus on the end of year tour and try and turn it around."

South Africa finished the 2016 Rugby Championship in third place with two wins and four losses.

They will now focus on the end of year tour and will face the Barbarians, England, Italy and Wales during the tour.
