Video: Ryan Carr-Ketu, Paul Gallen exchange blows ahead of boxing bout in Sydney

Ryan Carr-Ketu will have the state of Queensland cheering him on when he faces former New South Wales captain Paul Gallen in the ring in Sydney tonight.

The Gold Coast based Kiwi says he's ready to end Gallen's undefeated boxing record, and hopefully put an end to his constant trash talking.

Carr-Ketu has won both of his professional boxing bouts by knockout and is promising a third with victory over Gallen.

Things got feisty between the two when Gallen challenged Carr-Ketu to a double-or-nothing bout. Carr-Ketu declined the offer as he said he could not afford to gamble with money his family is relying on.

This sparked a war of words between the pair.

"Obviously it (the offer) would be a bit of a gamble for me and he's gambled with his NRL career taking the peptides," said Carr Ketu.

In reply, Gallen called him a "softc*ck."

Gallen will head into the fight with a height and reach disadvantage, but he's confident in front of a home crowd, so much so he is already planning his next fight.

"This will be my seventh fight and I don't have ambitions to fight many more," said Gallen.

"We really want to fight Sonny Bill (Williams) but I have to get through this one first."

Although it's far from mate against mate, tonight's State of Origin fight will soon settle the score.
