Highlights: New Zealand Breakers hold off scrappy Perth Wildcats

  • 22/01/2017

The New Zealand Breakers have now won four straight matches after fending off the Perth Wildcats 86-82 in Auckland.

The Breakers were crusing to victory heading into the fourth quarter, but turnovers once again became a big problem and Perth capitalised on the Breakers' mistakes.

But it wasn't enough to seal the come-from-behind win.

Kirk Penny led the Breakers in scoring with 25 points (18 in the second half) while American import Kevin Dillard added 20. Fellow import Paul Carter added 15.

Bryce Cotton scored a game-high 26 for the Wildcats.

The Breakers now sit third on the NBL ladder and will face the Cairns Taipans at the North Shore Events Centre on Thursday.
