WBO heavyweight title scrap between Joseph Parker and Hughie Fury all-but confirmed with purse bid scheduled

A purse bid has been scheduled by the WBO for the mandatory fight between Kiwi heavyweight boxing champion Joseph Parker and challenger Hughie Fury. 

The  bid will take place on February 1st in Puerto Rico, and there will be a minimum bid of around NZ$1.4million.

The promoter with the highest offer will gain promotional control of the fight and be able to pick the date and location as well as control the other logistics of the event.

Parker will be entitled to 60 per cent of the winning bid, while Fury would receive the remaining 40 per cent.
